2. Describe yourself in one word.
Hard working
3. What color do you think that best describes your personality and why?
The color which best describes me is Blue. It’s the color of sky and the ocean which you can symbolize as peaceful and calmness where I see myself as a calm person in most of the instances. Also, Blue symbolize loyalty and to date I have been a loyal son to my parents, loyal student to my teachers, loyal friend to my friends and a loyal employee for my employer. Moreover, blue symbolize productivity where I consider myself very productive where I try to achieve tasks which is assigned to me on time with the best quality.
4. What does it mean to you to become your country’s representative at Mister International 2011?
Well I come from a country which is blossoming after thirty three years of civil war. Where my country was shredded in blood for the past thirty three years of terrorism and now only the fashion industry in Sri Lanka is blossoming and I too was affected by the war and never expected that I will get a chance to represent my beautiful country in the International arena. Now I am here standing on behalf of my country and having a faith that I will bring back something for my country from this pageant for all the sufferings my people went through. And also by winning a title in this prestigious pageant will bring recognition to my country and through that I would be able to bring development to my country.
5. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
If I need to list down some of my strengths I would say that I am self motivated and a hard working person. When there’s a need to put 100% effort to achieve something I put 200% to make sure that will surely happen. Moreover, I am very loyal and very caring. My personality as a whole is a biggest strength of me since, I have achieved greater milestones in education, pageants, fashion industry as well as the business field. More than any of the above the love my family and friends have towards me and the faith I have in god are major strengths of mine. Well as a person it’s extremely important to know my weaknesses where I could improve them on the future. My biggest weakness I would say is not saying “NO” for anyone. I tried a lot to overcome this but, my born nature doesn’t allow me to do this. Also, I easily trust people and I see everyone has a good, honest person which is proven to be wrong in many instances.
6. How would you describe the typical day in your life?
My day starts at 5.00 am in the morning, where the first thing when I get up I pray the almighty god to make the day best not only for me but to everyone. Then after finishing my morning routine I go on a jog with my father for like 45 minutes. When I come back I take a shower, spend some time in prayers, have my breakfast and get ready for work. Every day is a challenging one at workplace where I attend many meetings, business presentations, client visits etc. But, every day I try to learn something new. When I get back home in the evening I prepare myself to go to gym, workout there for like two hours and then get back home. After getting back home I have a shower, have my dinner and then do my prayers. Before I go to bed it’s a must for me to read something or listen to music. My bed time will be 10.00 pm. This is how my typical day would look like.
7. Where do you see yourself, let say, five years from now?
Well I am currently working as a business development manager and perusing my higher studies in marketing. My ambition is to become a fashion entrepreneur one day with the knowledge I have in fashion and marketing and not being a job seeker but, a job provider to many who are unemployed in my country and also to provide employment to the differently able ones. On the other hand I want to be on the international ramps as a globally recognized top model.
8. What is your biggest accomplishment so far?
I consider the day I graduated with a class from University of Greenwich in Business Information Technology is the proudest achievement of my life. Because, coming from a middle class family my parents’ biggest hope was me and after many sleepless nights, three years of hard work and dedication the day I graduated with a class was the day my parents had happy tears in their eyes. The first and biggest opportunity I had to make my parents happy is what I consider the proudest accomplishment of my life.
9. Share us your “Turn Ons” and “Turn Offs”
Turn Ons – Someone whose clean, have a nice smile on their face, trimmed nails, properly maintained fingers and hair, a good fragrance, neatly dressed are turn ons for me. Moreover, the ones who are loyal, caring, down to earth, ambitious, honest are also turn ons. On the other hand, the ones who are untidy, who doesn’t take any effort to maintain themselves are a big turn off for me, furthermore, the ones who are lazy, dishonest, backstabbing, disrespectful and who doesn’t have a goal and in life and live for sake of living are also turn offs for me.
10. What are your plans for the future?
I never expected what I have achieved today in my past. But I had a clear vision and a goal to reach and I think I have achieved more than I expected. As I mentioned before with the knowledge I am having about fashion and marketing I want to build a world class fashion brand in Sri Lanka. We have many fashion talents but, they were not identified or given the right opportunity to show their talents to this world. Therefore, I want to be a fashion entrepreneur and give job opportunities for many unemployed at the same time exploiting young talents. Moreover, to start a ethical fashion using differently able people and make a income medium for them and their families.
Okay, let's talk about beauty...
11. What is your definition of beauty?
For me beauty is very subjective. For one person someone would look so beautiful but, for another one the same person doesn’t look so beautiful. Beauty depends from how you see from out. Therefore, one cannot say that someone is beautiful and someone is not. But, the inner beauty of someone doesn’t change from one person to another. If someone is considered to be nice by heart that’s what the real beauty is. Therefore, I consider the beauty of your heart and thoughts only will make you the real beauty.
12. Share to us your beauty secrets.
Well I don’t have any top secrets as such. I would consider myself a smart healthy person. I consume a lot of water daily which is good for your skin, your body and the total system. I have nutritious food and avoid junk food as much as possible. Go for a jog in the morning and workout at gym in the evening. More than anything I don’t break rest. Whenever possible I sleep well and engage myself in meditation and yoga. This keeps me very fit and it relaxes my mind.

Well I workout daily and I focus on my upper body including Chest, Biceps then I do legs workout. Moreover, I focus more on Abs exercises.

Improvements are necessary in each and every aspect of life. This applies to our own body as well. Therefore, I would like to get my body improved in every aspect, from thighs, to abs to shoulder etc.
16. What part of your body is the most vulnerable?
As I mentioned before I have got a perfect body by God’s blessings and I don’t think there’s any part of my body is vulnerable.
17. What kind of diet do you follow?
Well in the morning I have a bowl of serials with milk and in the afternoon I have a cup of rice with lots of vegetables and a piece of fish or chicken. In the evening I have two biscuits with cup of tea. In the night mostly I used to have a bowl of soup with boiled vegetables and French bread. I also, drink a lot of liquid such as fruit juices, water and king coconut and I consume fruits daily.
18. How much sleep do you get per night?
I consider sleep very important to have a stress free healthy life. Therefore, I try to get seven hours of good sleep.

Continuing my higher studies, being as a Business Development Manager and handling clients, engage myself in fashion shows and beauty pageants keeps my day very busy. More than anything the support I get from my family in all my activities helps me to cope up with stress.

Where, one of Sri Lanka’s top fashion magazines has stated me as one of the ten best dressed men in Sri Lanka. I don’t stick to one style, I change my style often based on the trend but, still I’ll have my unique fashion statement. Also, fashion comes not only with clothes; it’s a combine effort of clothes, shoes, accessories, watches, fragrances and etc. So, I pick and choose the right brands, which makes me comfortable and affordable and mix them according to the occasion.

23. In a competition like Mister International where there are lots of handsome men competing, what would make you standout?
I consider all the contestant who are taking part in this contest is unique and have their own identity. Not only them, if I consider anyone from any part of this world all of them have their individuality or rather a unique identity. With all due respect to others he way I differentiate myself is slightly different. I come from a country which was affected by terrorism for the past 33 years and we have gone through a lot. I come from a very normal family which struggled to stand out in the society with all financial instability and war conditions. But, still I was able to complete my degree with a class, now working in a very good position as a business development manager. Moreover, I have a steady presence on the fashion industry as a top model. To top it all I was selected to represent my country in this pageant. All this wear dreams twenty years back, but through my hard work and my parents support I am a respected citizen of my country. This makes me unique from other contestants.
24. Who/ what inspires you to win this competition?
I would say my grandfather. He was my inspiration in life; I had the privilege to be around him throughout my childhood although he was a busy businessman. He set an example to others by the way he lived his life with honesty, integrity and mutual respect. “Set a vision in your life and work hard till you achieve it. The path you select to reach your vision might be too long but, always make sure whatever the path you select it’s fair, it doesn’t harm others and when you reach to the top never forget your past”.. These were the words he always used to tell which made me who I am today. He always tell me more than you asking what my country have done to me, you should ask yourself what I have done to my country.
